Florida Gators Las Vegas Bowl Depth Chart
GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The Florida Gators are just days away from their final game of the 2022 season. The Las Vegas Bowl will feature a roster missing many familiar names, as players have entered the transfer portal or withdrawn from the game as they prepare for the NFL Draft.
In total, Florida has had more than 20 players either enter the transfer portal or declare for the NFL Draft.
UF coach Billy Napier said last Thursday a handful of outgoing transfers will play in the bowl game but acknowledged that depth is lacking in some spots.
Nonetheless, he’s confident the roster will be equipped enough to compete against No. 14 Oregon State.

“I think we’ve got a handful of players that will finish with the team. Obviously, a lot of guys that got their degrees. You know, COVID makes things complicated a little bit relative to guys that would be seniors,” Napier said. “I think the big thing is when you start prepping for the opponent. There’ll be a few positions where there’s some challenges in terms of practice and scout teams and those types of things. But each group has got a solid group of players. We’ll be ready to go.”
The list of players not playing in the Las Vegas Bowl is headlined by quarterback Anthony Richardson, Concensus All-American O’Cyrus Torrence, receiver Justin Shorter, and middle linebacker Ventrell Miller.
This will mark the first collegiate start for quarterback Jack Miller. Walk-on quarterback Kyle Engel will serve as his backup. Engel, a recent graduate, has taken just two snaps in his career but has won the backup over scholarship quarterback Max Brown.
It also appears that Kamryn Waites is in line for his first start of the season and his career.
Derek Wingo will make the second start of his career in place of Miller at middle linebacker.
Jadarruius Perkins will earn the start for the injured Tre’Vez Johnson.
