Florida Gators make top 3 for DB target Teddy Foster
Teddy Foster has emerged as a key defensive target for the Florida Gators in recent months. And the respect appears to be mutual.
Foster, a 3-star cornerback from Sarasota (Fla.) Cardinal Mooney, on Thursday released a top three that included Florida, along with Miami and North Carolina.
He is the No. 70 corner in the country for the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. But the Gators, who worked out the 6-foot-2, 175-pound Foster in June, seem to have a high grade for him.

Foster officially visited Florida the weekend of June 16.
Afterward, he said the Gators were on top.
“I think UF is No. 1 right now for sure,” Foster said following that visit. “The development is crazy here; the resources are immaculate; my sister just got her diploma here, so the academics are off the charts. She had a great experience here. It checks all boxes.”
Foster said he was impressed by Gators coach Billy Napier and secondary coach Corey Raymond on his visit.
“It was an amazing weekend; really good weekend,” Foster said. “I had a great conversation with coach Napier just now. We talked about the recruiting class here. I had an amazing time and they checked all the boxes.”
Teddy Foster has bonded well thus far with Florida’s DB coach
Of his relationship with Raymond, he noted, “It’s actually pretty good. He came down to watch practice, stayed the whole practice, offered me and one of my younger fellas, and we’ve just been staying in touch since then and it’s been ongoing. It’s been a great experience, man.”

As he left Florida for home after his official visit, Foster said a commitment decision could happen “in July.” But he has not done any interviews since then and it is not clear if he has set a commitment date.
Foster also officially visited North Carolina in June. A scheduled official visit to Southern California did not take place.
Foster planned to visit the Gators again a few days after his official visit, but he and his family were unable to make that trip.
Florida leads big for Foster in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine at this time with a projection rate of 97.7 percent. The Gators do not yet have any cornerback commitments in the 2024 class. However, they also lead for 4-star Zay Mincey of Daytona Beach (Fla.) Mainland in the On3 RPM.
