Former Florida running back Dameon Pierce signed his first NFL deal with Houston last week, and the contract details were released Wednesday.
Pierce is represented by Franchise Sports Agency, which announced that he has inked a four-year, $4.475 million contract with the Texans.
Pierce was the third and final Florida player selected in the 2022 NFL Draft, going 107th overall in the fourth round to Houston. He will wear No. 31 and is expected to compete for the starting job as a rookie.

Pierce won the Texans over with his helmet-less touchdown run, and coach Lovie Smith was sold on his energy and toughness.
“We drafted Dameon in mind with having a guy that can get yards in between the tackles,” Smith said last week, via Texans Wire. “He is a tough football player, confident football player. We feel like we have a role for him. You can’t ever have too many good running backs. I think as you look at our running back position, they all bring something a little bit different, little bit unique to the position.”
