After two teams dominated Florida’s summer workout competition for the first five weeks, a new team has topped the 2022 Regimen Standings in Week 6.

Led by Kingsley Eguakun and Amari Burney, team ‘Lock The Gates’ edged out ‘Represent’ to take first place. Eguakun can be credited for his team’s ascension.

As part of the Regimen phase, the Gators had a max lift day on Wednesday and Eguakun put up an unbelievable 735-pound squat to push his team to No. 1.

“Shoutout to Kingsley Eguakun, man,” left tackle Richard Gouraige said. “He’s going to turn heads this year. He’s an animal.”

The Gators held their inaugural Regimen Draft on June 1 and split the roster into teams for summer workouts. It’s a nine-week training block to get the players ready for fall camp (Phase 6).

“We’re currently finishing up week eight of a nine-week program in the summer. It’s important that we finish strong, and that’s the focus. We want to try to create momentum for training camp,” Napier said Wednesday.

“This group has embraced the work. I’m proud of our team. This team is not scared. They’re tough, they love to compete. When you put the ball down, they’re about it. I’m excited about training camp.”
