GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Nine Florida Gators will be in Indianapolis, Indiana this weekend for the 2023 NFL Draft Combine. It is a week full of interviews, measurements, and on-field drills that weigh heavily into where players will be drafted.

Players will begin arriving for the ultimate public job interview. Below is a complete list of the Gators that will partake in the NFL Combine as well as a schedule for the entire week.

Gators schedule at the NFL Combine

Brenton Cox, DL

The interview process will be huge for Cox. He’s a physical specimen that will excel in drills. He’ll have to answer questions about why he transferred away, especially after a reported exchange with Kirby Smart after the Florida-Georgia game. Not to mention, questions about why he was dismissed from the Gators during the 2022 season.

Cox will be on the field for drills on Thursday.

Trey Dean, DB

Dean has seen his stock rise after a solid performance at the East-West Shrine game where he took home defensive MVP honors.

Dean will be on the field for drills on Friday.

Gervon Dexter, DL

Dexter will presumably be the third Gator off of the board when the draft comes. He’s also a player that has a lot to gain this week in Indianapolis. Dexter is still a young player on the field having played just three real seasons of football.

He’ll be on the field for drills on Thursday.

Richard Gouraige, OL

A stalwart on the Gators’ offensive line for the last three years, Gouraige had the opportunity to go to the Senior Bowl. He held his own in Mobile and he’ll have a chance to continue to raise his stock this week in Indianapolis.

Gouraige will be on the field for drills on Sunday.

Ventrell Miller, LB

Miller will be in Indianapolis for the NFL Combine but he’s not expected to be able to go through drills coming off of foot surgery. Still, the opportunity to meet with NFL coaches and general managers is important for him.

Anthony Richardson, QB

The talk of the pre-2023 NFL Draft, Anthony Richardson will have a ton of media attention this week. The most dynamic player in the draft, Richardson will get a chance to showcase his athleticism. He’s made the decision to throw at the combine this week, which most top-rated quarterbacks have skipped in previous years. In fact, Richardson plans to participate in everything other than the bench press this week.

Richardson will be on the field for drills Saturday.

Justin Shorter, WR

Florida’s second-leading receiver held his own at the East-West Shrine Game. It’s a deep receiver class but Shorter can go a long way this week in interviews and on the field. With Richardson choosing to throw, both he and Shorter would benefit from getting matched up together during the throwing portion of their workout.

Shorter will be on the field for drills Saturday.

O’Cyrus Torrence, OL

Thought to be the second Gator to be picked when the draft comes around, Torrence has nearly solidified himself as the best offensive guard in the draft. He’s a better on-field player than a workout warrior. He was one of, if not the best offensive linemen in Mobile, Alabama for the Senior Bowl.

Torrence will be on the field for drills on Sunday.

Rashad Torrence II, DB

Torrence’s early departure was a bit of a surprise. The former Gator hasn’t had a lot of draft hype early in the process but could test well this week.

He will be on the field for drills on Friday.
