GAINESVILLE, Fla. — For the second year in row, the Florida Gators have placed four players on the SEC All-Freshman Team. The 2024 selections were announced on Thursday and voted on by the SEC head coaches.

Florida was tied for the most picks in the league with Auburn and Tennessee, and they did not include star freshman quarterback DJ Lagway. South Carolina’s LaNorris Sellers, the SEC All-Freshman Team honoree at quarterback, was named the SEC’s Freshman of the Year.

Florida’s four selections were running back Jadan Baugh, linebacker Myles Graham, offensive lineman Bryce Lovett and long snapper Gannon Burt.

Baugh rushed for 603 rushing yards and seven touchdowns on 119 carries, making three starts in 12 appearances. His signature performance came in his first start against Kentucky when he had his first career 100-yard game (106) and tied the single-game school record with five touchdowns.

Graham made 28 tackles, two tackles for loss and one sack in 12 games played. He finished the year hot, making 18 of his tackles in the final four games. Lovett appeared in all 12 games and made his first career starts at Texas and Florida State. He graded out as Florida’s third-best pass blocker this season.

Burt appeared in two contests this season, filling in for Mannelly Award Finalist and All-SEC second-team selection, Rocco Underwood.

The Gators led the league last year with four selections on the SEC All-Freshmen team and had two in 2022.
