Florida Gators prepare for NFL Playoffs
GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The NFL Playoffs will begin on Saturday, Jan. 13 and 26 former Florida Gators will be involved.
Last year, Carlos Dunlap, La’Mical Perine, Kadarius Toney and Tommy Townsend became Super Bowl Champions with the Kansas City Chiefs.
On the biggest stage, the stars shined brightest. And few stars shined brighter in Arizona Sunday than Chiefs’ do-it-all weapon Kadarius Toney. Toney finished with 82 total yards and a touchdown on just three touches. Everything the “Human Joystick” touched turned to gold.
Down six at the start of the fourth quarter, Kadarius Toney faked out the Eagles secondary with pre-snap movement, getting himself wide open for the go-ahead touchdown.
Former Florida running back La’Mical Perine is also on the Chiefs. Perine had a breakout game for the 2023 AFC West Division-winning Chiefs as the running back rushed for 76 yards on 21 attempts. Perine picked up another 33 yards though the air off three receptions. Perine’s 109 all-purpose yards are a career high.
