Florida Gators receiver Xzavier Henderson enters the transfer portal
GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Florida Gators receiver Xzavier Henderson has entered the transfer portal, a source has confirmed with Gators Online on Saturday.
Henderson has spent three seasons with the Gators and made 14 starts. In 2022 he finished the season with 38 receptions for 410 yards and 2 touchdowns.
The receiver had a great spring for the Gators, including a three-touchdown performance in the second scrimmage.
“Xzavier Henderson had an exceptional day. Made a ton of plays and got a ton of production. The ball went his way and he made some really good plays,” Napier said afterward. “For the most part, Xzavier, I thought every time I turned around, he was making a play.”
Henderson felt that the performance was one of his best practices as a Gator. He’s never caught multiple touchdowns in a game before and has five scores in his three-year career.
“I feel like I had a pretty good scrimmage stat-wise, I had three touchdowns, so it was probably one of the better scrimmages I’ve had in college football,” Henderson said.
The Gators will have Caleb Douglas, true freshman Andy Jean, and walk-on Khaliel Jackson competing to replace Henderson’s production.

Henderson is the third Gator to enter the transfer portal in the second window
Henderson joins EDGE Antwaun Powell-Ryland and offensive lineman David Conner as the third Florida Gator to enter the transfer portal.
Powell-Ryland was just the second Florida Gator to enter the transfer portal during the second window. Florida offensive lineman David Conner became the first player to leave the program this spring and has been removed from the roster. Conner was a mid-year enrollee last year, but in fall camp he suffered a thumb injury that required surgery. He made no game appearances as a true freshman and redshirted. With his departure, UF has 16 scholarship players remaining along the offensive line.
Track transfer portal activity
While the NCAA transfer portal database is private, the On3 Network has streamlined the reporting process tracking player movement.
If you find yourself asking, ‘How can I track transfer portal activity?’ our well-established network of reporters and contacts across college athletics keeps you up to speed in several ways, from articles written about players as they enter and exit the transfer portal or find their new destination, to our social media channels, to the On3 Transfer Portal.
The transfer portal wire provides a real-time feed of player activity, including basic player profile information, transfer portal ranking and original On3 Consensus recruiting ranking, as well as NIL valuation (name, image and likeness).
