GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party is just a few days away. The Florida Gators and No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs will meet this Saturday at 3:30 p.m. This will be the 20th consecutive year that Florida and Georgia have been the 3:30 p.m. CBS game of the week. That will end next year as the new ESPN TV contract begins.

“Obviously a really good Georgia team. We have a tremendous amount of respect for what they’ve accomplished, you know, the consistency in which they perform. And, you know, these are the types of games that you, as a competitor, you look forward to it,” Billy Napier said on Wednesday. “Being in Jacksonville, the venue is split down the middle, the history, the tradition, the level of competition, I mean you get excited about the challenges and the opportunities that come with that. But, Georgia is a formidable opponent. I think they play a really good brand of football and it’s going to require our best.”

Florida released its official depth chart for the game this week.

Notes

  • Florida center Kingsley Eguakun is off the injury report. Eguakun has played in just two games this season after a high ankle sprain he sustained in fall camp.
  • Eguakun was listed as the Gators’ starting center. It will be Eguakun’s 29th start.
  • Kamryn Waites is listed as the backup left tackle, behind Austin Barber.
  • Trevor Etienne, who missed the Vanderbilt game, and then didn’t look 100% healthy against South Carolina did not have an injury distinction.
  • Max Brown continues to be listed ahead of Jack Miller and is the backup quarterback to Graham Mertz.
  • The Gators bye week came at a great time. Florida had nine players on the injury report prior to the Vanderbilt game and five against South Carolina but just three this week ahead of Georgia.
