Florida Gators will have 38 athletes at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The Florida Gators will be well-represented at the 2024 Olympics in Paris this Summer. In total, Florida will have 38 current and former student-athletes representing 18 different countries. Florida’s swimming program will send 13, including head coach Anthony Nesty to Paris. Track & Field comes in second, sending 12 to the Olympic Games.

Former Florida Gators basketball player Nick Calathes A two-time All-SEC player at Florida, Calathes has been competing on Greece’s senior national team since 2009 and will become the first Florida men’s basketball alum to appear in the Men’s Olympic Basketball Tournament. Calathes will be one of two Florida men’s basketball alumni at the Paris Olympics, as Canyon Barry will represent the USA in 3×3 men’s basketball.
