Florida vs. Maryland: How to watch, betting lines, game notes

March Madness continues for the No. 1 seed Florida Gators (32-4/14-4 SEC) on Thursday in the Sweet 16. They will play 4-seed Maryland (27-8/14-6 Big Ten) in San Francisco as Todd Golden returns to the Bay Area.
The Gators advanced to the West Region semifinal with wins over Norfolk State and UConn, while the Terrapins punched their ticked to the Sweet 16 by beating Grand Canyon and Colorado State at the buzzer.

Game notes
* UF make its 11th all-time Sweet 16 appearance, posting a 9-1 record in that round all-time. Florida’s last Sweet 16 game featured Chris Chiozza’s overtime buzzer-beater vs. Wisconsin in 2017 at Madison Square Garden.
* Florida and Maryland have split four all-time meetings, but Thursday will be the first in the NCAA Tournament and the first for UF under Todd Golden.
* Florida and Maryland square off in the Sweet 16 round after the Gators outlasted UConn in the second round, rallying from a second-half deficit with a 14-3 run.

* Florida’s senior trio of guards combined for 56 of the Gators’ 77 points to defeat UConn. Clayton scored 13 of his 23 over the final eight minutes, while Richard had 13 of his 15 in the second half. Martin carried UF early, scoring 14 of his 18 points in the first half.
* First-team All-American Walter Clayton Jr.’s 1,258 points over his two seasons at UF trail only the legendary Neal Walk’s scoring output over a two-season span (1,312; 1967-69). His 199 3-pointers trail only Lee Humphrey (226, 2005-07) for most by a Gator over two seasons. Clayton has made a 3-pointer in a Florida record 58 consecutive appearances.
