The No. 5 Florida Gators (15-2, 2-2 SEC) look to rebound from their first home loss of the season with Saturday’s matchup against SEC newcomer Texas.
The Longhorns (12-5, 1-3 SEC) went 11-2 in non-conference play and dropped their first three league games before winning at Oklahoma, 77-73, on Wednesday.

Game notes
* Saturday marks the eighth meeting between Florida and Texas. The Longhorns lead the all-time series 4-3 with a 2-1 mark in Gainesville. UF lost the last game, 85-82 at Texas, on Dec. 9, 1997.
* This is the first matchup between Florida and Texas as conference foes. Six of the seven previous games came from 1989-97 when the teams squared off in nonconference play six times over nine seasons.
