Former Notre Dame pitcher Ricky Reeth commits to Florida Gators

Former Notre Dame pitcher Ricky Reeth has committed to the Florida Gators. The RHP announced his decision on his social media Thursday.
This season Reeth posted a 4-2 record, 4.31 ERA and 43 strikeouts against 12 walks in 22 appearances. He allowed 23 earned runs and 44 hits in 48 innings.
Reeth made 17 appearances in 2024 with one start, finished the year with a 2-4 record with a 5.21 ERA and 38 strikeouts over 48.1 innings of work.
He earned a 1-0 record in 2023 with eight appearances and finished with a 6.06 ERA and 12 Ks, allowing 12 hits and eight walks over 16.1 innings.
Reeth redshirted in 2022. The 6-foot-4, 190-pound pitcher becomes the first transfer addition for the Gators and has one year of eligibility remaining.
UF can return up 18 pitchers in 2026, although it could have some attrition: starters Liam Peterson (Jr.) and Aidan King (So.), redshirt junior Jake Clemente, juniors Luke McNeillie, Alex Philpott, Frank Menendez (LHP) and Matthew Jenkins, redshirt sophomores Christian Rodriguez, Caden McDonald and Mason Laurito (LHP), sophomores Jackson Barberi, McCall Biemiller (LHP), Niko Janssens (LHP), Felix Ong, Blaine Rowland and Carson Montsdeoca and redshirt freshman Schuyler Sandford and Joshua Whritenour.
