“I went up there for my first visit and it felt like home. Just the atmosphere and culture coach Napier had brought to the table the first time I went up there; it just felt special.
“Then on my official, just the family environment that Florida gives off. With coach Bateman and coach Armstrong and how they see me fitting in their scheme is perfect for me.
“I’m just ready to bring a championship to Gainesville and be that playmaker that they were looking for.”
Scouting Report on Aaron Chiles
With Chiles, this is a versatile linebacker prospect who could ultimately settle down at the Gators’ JACK position. He currently weighs in at around 230 and has a frame that could really expand on the next level. The 2024 prospect primarily lines up on the edge in high school as well, so that is a strong level of familiarity with that role.

Chiles does a great job of wreaking havoc as a pass rusher and shows good closing speed once gaining the upperhand on the offensive tackle. He typically plays standing up and provides that thud at the point of attack. Once the ball is snapped, that relentless style of play is on full display.
Chiles also shows decent change of direction when reacting the ball, especially for his size. And once he does, it does not take him long to accelerate and pick up ground. That alone makes him a high-level prospect due to his size and instincts. That is a dangerous combination for a linebacker.
Whether Chiles is rushing the passer or being the leader in the middle of the defense, the Gators are getting a versatile defender who will likely fill up the stat sheet. Chiles is everywhere on the field. — COREY BENDER
