On3 Industry Rankings: No. 331 overall; No. 22 RB; No. 47 in Florida.
Commitment date: 9/16/23
Chose Florida over: Tennessee, UCF
Time of enrollment: January
Clark says: “I was never concerned about (Florida’s) record or anything. I feel like we’re alright. Against Georgia, I feel like we played good. With DJ (Lagway) going down that was the problem. Other than that, we played good. … Everything, if you ask me, is better. Everything from the O-Line to the running backs to the receivers to QB — everything. Everyone is getting better. … (Jadan Baugh) is pretty good. He just runs really tough. Very dominant. People don’t like tackling running backs that run tough. … I think I bring something different to the table. I can catch. I can run. I can do it all.”
Notable: Clark played multiple positions in high school, from running back and receiver to linebacker. He also returned kicks.
Key stats: Clark had 1,737 career rushing yards in high school, on 7.7 yards per carry.

What the Gators are getting in Waltez Clark

Scouting report: Here’s what people are saying about Clark …

-“He starts on everything. … He’s done everything well this year. He’s been all over the field for us on offense, defense and special teams. He’s a better player this year and has grown every year because he’s been focused and dialed in perfecting his craft. He’s getting better each and every practice. … “In college, he’ll probably be 10 times better when he’s able to really hone in at one position. The return on investment will be excellent.” — Panthers coach Hank Brown.
