GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The Gator Collective announced a deal that will sign every eligible Florida Gators‘ women’s basketball player to a name, image, and likeness deal for $1,000.

The deal was realized thanks to the efforts of the Collective as well as a generous donation from Jeff Nudelman, who wanted to shine a light on the women’s basketball program.

The Collective surprised the team with an announcement at Spurrier’s Gridiron Grill on Tuesday night.

“The Lady Gators Basketball team has fought hard to show that they belong in the upper echelon of UF sports,” the GC said in a press release. “Some were very fortunate to be given the opportunity to leave behind their own tragic personal life circumstances. Coach Kelly Rae Finley & her staff have done a tremendous job not only on the court but also in teaching them how to deal with the game of life. For these athletes, like all the other Gator teams, it’s all about the journey and those benevolent souls that help pave the way by Paying It Forward !!!!!!”

Thanks to the generosity of Jeff Nudelman / CEO of Stuart Building & Supply in South Florida & Wally Smojver, The Gator Collective is able to offer each eligible Lady Gator Basketball player a NIL sponsorship for this season.

Gators and NIL

In December, Florida Athletic Director Scott Stricklin and the University of Florida launched GatorsNIL.com for fans and support to student-athletes directly through name, image, and likeness.

“Gator Nation, the new era of college athletics has arrived,” Stricklin said in the video below. “Florida Athletics is one of the top programs in the nation and that is in huge part because of your continued support. Name, image and likeness has come along and has created new and exciting ways for our data athletes to have some unbelievable opportunities. And you, Gator Nation, play an important role in this.

“There are many ways in which you can directly support our athletes and athletic programs that will take the orange and blue to the very top. You can do so by giving directly to The Gator Collective, purchasing personalized apparel with Fanatics, grabbing exclusive NFTs with Campus, or creating unique opportunities for our athletes through INFLCR‘s NIL exchange. Now that’s a lot of info, but we put it all in one place so you can take advantage of the ways you can support Gators through name, image and likeness. Just visit GatorsNIL.com. Thanks for all you do and go Gators.”

The University of Florida announced a partnership with the Gator Collective last January.
