The early signing period in December netted the Florida Gators with big results. The second signing day of the 2025 class, which is Wednesday, was much more quiet — yet Billy Napier’s program still had two key additions to announce.

The first, 3-star cornerback Onis Konanbanny Columbia (S.C.) Heathwood Hall Episcopal School, flipped to Florida from Tennessee on Tuesday. He officially signed with the Gators a day later. Konanbanny is the No. 42 corner and No. 412 overall player in the On3 Industry Rankings. He’s a summer enrollee.

Konanbanny is listed at 6-foot-1/2 and 175 pounds and he has the size and length the Gators like at corner. He recorded 56 solo tackles, 4 tackles for loss, 1 interception and 2 pass breakups last season per MaxPreps.

Additionally, Florida on Wednesday announced the signing of long snapper Mack Mulhern. He’s from Phoenix (Ariz.) Horizon and is the No. 6 long snapper in the country for the On3 Industry Rankings. Mulhern will begin his Gators career as a preferred walk-on, but he’s a valuable addition nonetheless given Florida’s revamped emphasis on special teams.

All told, the Gators have 26 members of the 2025 recruiting class (full class HERE), a group that is ranked No. 11 in the On3 recruiting team rankings after a strong finish. At one point deep into the recruiting cycle, Florida sat outside the top 50 in the rankings. Improved play on the field got the attention of several recruits and the Gators were able to produce double-digits flips in the final weeks before the Dec. 4 signing day.

Florida might not be done. It is possible it could add another defensive back to the 2025 class. Sources tell us the Gators view themselves as a top contender — maybe even the top contender — to land elite cornerback J’Vari Flowers of Miami (Fla.) Northwestern, who reclassified from 2026 to 2025 last Wednesday. Look for him to officially visit the Gators on March 10-12. It’s expected that Miami and FSU also will get officials. Georgia might be another program to track. Flowers is a high-level target.
