GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The Florida Gators will close the 2022 home schedule in front of a packed house. The UF ticket office announced next week’s matchup against South Carolina. has been sold out. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12 inside Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.

The matchup marks the fourth home sellout this season and the fifth within the past year—dating back to last season’s victory over Florida State.

Earlier this year, the Gators Ticket Office announced sellouts for the Utah, Kentucky, and LSU games.

“I just want to thank our fans for coming out. I think that was our 10th-largest crowd in the history of the school. We said at the beginning that it was going to take a team effort to get this done. To build and create momentum, to create positive energy on the outside. And they made a difference tonight,” Napier said after the season opener. “They impacted the game. The University of Florida is a special place. These people come back because of the way it impacted them, the memories they had here, and how it influenced their lives,. And some of those memories are of football games in The Swamp. We’re very thankful for our fans showing up. They contributed to our team.”

The Gators and the Gamecocks will meet for the 43rd time with Florida leading the series 29-10-3.

The matchup will serve as this year’s Saluting Those Who Serve game, presented by Vystar Credit Union.

Active duty military members are encouraged to submit photos and videos for consideration to be featured on social media and on the video boards at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.

Gators Salute those who serve

The University Athletic Association will honor members of the armed forces, veterans and local first responders as part of Florida’s annual ‘Saluting Those Who Serve’ game against South Carolina, presented by Vystar Credit Union. For each ticket purchased, the UAA will donate a South Carolina game ticket to a local military hero.

In the future, Billy Napier has said Florida will wear special jerseys for this game each year. The Gators have black jerseys in the works for future seasons. It’s something that Napier says will be auctioned off after the game with proceeds going to charities that help former military and their families.
