Chase Clark, a valuable member of coach Billy Napier’s Florida Gators football staff, is leaving the program to become a sports agent with William Morris Endeavor.

Clark has been Florida’s assistant for college personnel/on-campus recruiting. He joined the program in 2019 when Dan Mullen was coach as assistant dir. for player personnel, then was retained by Napier. In his role in Gainesville, Clark assisted with the evaluation of players and recruiting.

Clark is a native of Birmingham, Ala., but has deep ties to the Florida Gators football program. He is the son of former Gators placekicker Brian Clark, a key player in Gainesville from 1978-81 and an All-SEC performer.

Chase Clark graduated from the University of Alabama and began his career in player personnel with the Crimson Tide. At WME, he will work as an agent in the coaching representation division and will be based in Nashville, Tn.

At Florida, Clark has been an important asset to the Gators, particularly when it comes to recruiting. He had a major hand in helping Florida land Alabama natives Shemar James, Kelby Collins and Jeremiah Williams. Also of note, 4-star running back commit Waltez Clark, a member of the 2025 recruiting class from Tampa (Fla.) Plant, has emphasized Clark’s role in his recruitment in multiple interviews.

According to multiple sources, this move has been in the works for some time. Although Clark is loyal to the program and loves Florida, Gators Online was told this was a transition he has been wanting to make.

Also Monday, Gators Online reported earlier that Napier and the Gators have brought back Joe Hamilton to its recruiting staff. Per Zach Abolverdi, ‘after being promoted by Napier for his work in the 2024 class, Hamilton was hired away by Texas A&M in late February to be the Aggies’ assistant general manager. Less than five months later, he has returned to Gainesville. Hamilton will resume his role as Florida’s director of scouting. Monday was his first day back in the office at the Heavener Football Training Center.’
