Gators in the NFL: Week Eight

A number of former Florida Gators made their impact throughout week eight of the NFL season.

Here are the numbers from the former Gators’ performances on the weekend:

Arizona Cardinals

DJ Humphries – Humphries was sidelined this weekend with a back injury.

Marco Wilson – Wilson had four total tackles in Arizona’s 34-26 loss to the Vikings.

Atlanta Falcons

Kyle Pitts – the 2020 Mackey Award winner caught five passes for 80 yards and a touchdown in the Falcons’ 37-34 win over the Panthers.

Feleipe Franks did not record any stats on Sunday.

Baltimore Ravens

Demarcus Robinson – Robinson had a season-high in both catches (6) and receiving yards (64) in Baltimore’s 27-22 Thursday night win over Tampa Bay.

David Sharpe and Jeremiah Moon recorded no stats in the win.

Buffalo Bills

Kaiir Elam – the 2022 first round pick had two total tackles in Buffalo’s 27-17 win over the Packers.

Carolina Panthers

CJ Henderson – the 2020 top 10 pick had an interception and a pass deflection in the Panthers’ overtime loss to Atlanta.

Eddy Piñeiro – Piñeiro went 2-3 on field goal attempts and 2-3 on his extra point attempts in the loss.

Cincinnati Bengals

Evan McPherson – McPherson missed his lone field goal attempt and went 1-2 on extra points in Cincinnati’s Monday night loss to Cleveland.

Zach Carter – the rookie finished with five total tackles and two run stuffs in the loss.

Cleveland Browns

Taven Bryan – the 2018 first round draft pick had four total tackles with a half sack in the Browns’ 32-13 victory over the Bengals.

Dallas Cowboys

Dante Fowler Jr. – the veteran racked up five total tackles, a pass deflection and a sack in the Cowboys’ 49-29 win over Chicago.

Malik Davis – In Dallas’ running back Ezekiel Elliot absence, Davis contributed to the win with eight carries for 23 yards and two catches for 18 yards. 

Denver Broncos

Tyrie Cleveland was ruled out with a groin injury ahead of Denver’s 21-17 win over Jacksonville across the pond.

Detroit Lions

Alex Anzalone – Anzalone had seven total tackles in the Lions’ 31-27 loss to Miami.

Jarrad Davis recorded no stats on Sunday.

Green Bay Packers

TJ Slaton – Slaton recorded two total tackles in the Packers’ 27-17 loss to the Bills.

Houston Texans

Dameon Pierce – the rookie had 15 carries for 35 yards and three receptions for 16 yards and a receiving touchdown in Houston’s 17-10 loss to Tennessee.

Jonathan Greenard is on the injured reserve list with a calf injury.

Jacksonville Jaguars

Jawaan Taylor – Taylor started on the Jaguars offensive line in their 21-17 win over the Broncos in London.

Kansas City Chiefs

Tommy Townsend, Carlos Dunlap and Kadarius Toney, who was traded to Kansas City from the New York Giants, had a bye in week eight.

Los Angeles Rams

Brandon Powell – had one kick return for 21 yards and a punt return for no gain in the Rams’ 31-14 loss to the 49ers.

Van Jefferson – after recovering from knee surgery, Jefferson returned to game action Sunday and played 31 snaps.

Miami Dolphins

Freddie Swain recorded no stats in the Dolphins’ 31-27 win over the Lions.

Minnesota Vikings

Jonathan Bullard recorded no stats in Minnesota’s 34-26 win over Arizona.

New England Patriots

Trent Brown – Brown started again at left tackle for the Patriots in their 22-17 win over the Jets.

New Orleans Saints

Marcus Maye – Maye had one tackle in the Saints’ 24-0 win over the Raiders.

New York Jets

Marcell Harris – Harris recorded no stats in the Jets’ 22-17 loss to the Patriots.

Philadelphia Eagles

CJ Gardner-Johnson – the fourth-year safety had eight total tackles, a sack and an interception in the Eagles’ 35-13 win over Pittsburgh.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Keanu Neal – Neal had eight total tackles in the Bucs’ Thursday night loss to the Ravens.

Kyle Trask recorded no stats on Sunday.

Washington Commanders 

Jon Bostic – Bostic had one total tackle in the Commanders’ 17-16 win.
