Gators Online Show: Florida staff turns attention to transfer portal
Welcome to the Gators Online Show! For episode 48, co-hosts Zach Abolverdi and Nick de la Torre discuss the second portal period this spring, Florida’s recruiting approach, Todd Golden’s success with transfers, Anthony Richardson and more.
The episode begins with some portal talk. Abolverdi and de la Torre delve into the staff’s strategy for the two-week window, the latest transfer news and how the Gators haven’t had as much movement as previous portal periods. Note: This episode was recorded prior to Antwaun Powell-Ryland Jr. announcing his departure on Friday.

The co-hosts review the contract details revealed this week on four Florida football assistant coaches, including new defensive coordinator Austin Armstrong and secondary coach Corey Raymond, who received a promotion, raise and contract extension.
Abolverdi and de la Torre then turn their attention to the updated On300, which features all but one Florida commit, and UF quarterback pledge DJ Lagway unlocking five-star status in the On3 Industry Rankings for the second time in his recruitment.
The guys wrap up the show by discussing where they think Richardson will be drafted, Golden’s prowess in the transfer portal and more.
