Gators Online Show: New staff roles defined, 2024 class finalized
Welcome to the Gators Online Show! For episode 79, co-hosts Zach Abolverdi and Nick de la Torre react to Florida’s latest hires, grade the 2024 class and discuss the team’s position changes.
We open the show with the latest comments from UF coach Billy Napier, who announced multiple promotions and new job titles on his staff. Napier also revealed that defensive coordinator Austin Armstrong will continue to call plays despite the hire of Co-DC Ron Roberts and clarified that he wants to retain play-calling duties on offense.
We then give our grades for the 2024 signees after the Gators finalized their recruiting class on Wednesday. They added a total of eight transfers and recruits with their 22 signees from December, giving them 30 players in the 2024 cycle and the No. 10 class in the On3 Industry team rankings.
We wrap up the show by discussing a few position changes for the Florida football team ahead of spring ball starting next month. March 7 will be the first practice and the Orange & Blue Game is scheduled for Saturday, April 13.
