Gators Online Show: Top takeaways from Florida's first scrimmage
Welcome to the Gators Online Show! For episode 100, co-hosts Zach Abolverdi and Nick de la Torre discuss the first scrimmage of fall training camp for the 2024 Florida football team.
We open the show with the top storylines that came out of Saturday, including two touchdown receptions by wide receiver Tank Hawkins from fellow freshman quarterback DJ Lagway.
Defensively, one of the highlights was a red-zone interception by sophomore safety Jordan Castell, who also had a couple pass breakups in the secondary during the scrimmage.

Unfortunately for the Gators, redshirt sophomore defensive lineman Jamari Lyons suffered a serious injury early on in the scrimmage, which put a damper on the day. We discuss the loss of Lyons and how that impacts the defense at the nose tackle position.
