GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Eric Kiesau will be reuniting with Billy Napier on his staff at Florida. Kiesau, who most recently served as the offensive coordinator at Auburn and Boise State, is expected to join UF in an analyst role.
The news was first reported by On3’s Matt Zenitz and Justin Hokanson Auburn Live.
Eric Kiesau worked with Napier in 2015 at Alabama during the program’s national championship season. Napier was in his third year as the Crimson Tide receivers coach and Kiesau served as an analyst on Nick Saban’s staff.
The 50-year-old Kiesau spent a total of six years under Bryan Harsin with the Broncos (2017-20) and the Tigers (2021-22), coaching both receivers and quarterbacks in addition serving as OC.
Kiesau previously served as the offensive coordinator for Fresno State (2016), Washington (2012-13) and Colorado (2009-10). He has coached receivers at Kansas (2014), California (2002-05; 2011), Colorado (2006-08) and Utah State (2001), where he started his coaching career as a running backs coach in 2000.
Kiesau was also Fresno State’s interim head coach over the final four games of the 2016 season and served as the Jayhawks’ interim offensive coordinator over the final five games of 2014.

As Washington’s offensive coordinator, Kiesau produced a John Mackey Award winner (Austin Saferian-Jenkins) and an All-American running back (Bishop Sankey) who went on to be the first player drafted at his position. The Huskies offense ranked amongst the nation’s elite in both total offense (13th; 499.3 yards per game) and scoring offense (18th; 37.9 points per game).
