Gators to have strong presence in NFL Playoffs

The NFL Playoffs begin this weekend and the Florida Gators will be well-represented in those games. Here’s a look at the schedule and the Gators on each respective squad.

Here are the Florida Gators in the playoffs

KAIR ELAM, CB, Buffalo: 13 games played with four starts; 26 total tackles (17 solo), 2 pass breakups.
O’CYRUS TORRENCE, OG, Buffalo: 16 starts this season.
RICHARD GOURAIGE, OT, Buffalo: Reserve; has played in one game this season.
ALEX ANZALONE, LB, Detroit: 10 games played with 10 starts; 63 tackles (43 solo), 1 sack, 5 pass breakups.
KINGSLEY EGUAKUN, C, Detroit: Reserve.
BRENTON COX, DL, Green Bay: Has appeared in seven games; 12 tackles with 4 sacks.
T.J. SLATON, DL, Green Bay: Has started 17 games; 30 total tackles with a sack.
DAMEON PIERCE, RB, Houston: Backup with 40 carries for 293 yards and 2 touchdowns; 9 kickoff returns, 339 yards.
TOMMY TOWNSEND, P, Houston: Ranks 13th in the NFL with a 48-yard average.
JAWAAN TAYLOR, OT, Kansas City: Has made 16 starts at right tackle. Taylor has been dealing with a lingering knee injury for a month.
DJ HUMPHRIES, OT, Kansas City: Has made two starts for the Chiefs, including last week. He signed with the team Nov. 22 but battled a hamstring issue in December that caused him to miss three games.
MARCUS MAYE, S, LA Chargers: 12 tackles, with 2 pass breakups and an interception.
DEMARCUS ROBINSON, WR, LA Rams: Has 31 catches for 505 yards and a career-high 7 touchdowns.
BRANDON POWELL, WR, Minnesota: 7 catches for 71 yards; 23 punt returns for 164 yards.
JONATHAN BULLARD, DL, Minnesota: 17 starts, 41 total tackles, 1 sack, 3 pass breakups.
JONATHAN GREENARD, LB, Minnesota: 17 starts, 59 total tackles, 12 sacks (tied for fifth in the NFL); Pro Bowl  selection.
FRED JOHNSON, OT, Philadelphia: Has five starts this season.
C.J. GARDNER-JOHNSON, S, Philadelphia: Is third in the NFL with six interceptions.
VAN JEFFERSON, WR, Pittsburgh: 24 catches for 276 yards and 2 touchdowns.
JEREMIAH MOON, LB, Pittsburgh: Has appeared in 13 games as a backup; 9 total tackles with a blocked kick.
C.J. HENDERSON, CB, Pittsburgh: Placed on injured reserve in November.
KYLE TRASK, QB, Tampa Bay: The Bucs’ No. 2 quarterback.
DANTE FOWLER JR., LB, Washington: Has 10.5 sacks this season, giving him 55.5 for his career (10 seasons).
