Gators WR Ricky Pearsall to play in Senior Bowl

Standout Florida senior receiver Ricky Pearsall will have another game after his Gators career ends to impress college scouts. The Reese’s Senior Bowl announced Sunday night Pearsall has accepted an invitation to play in its game, which is Feb 3, 2024 in Mobile, Ala.

Pearsall then Tweeted, “A blessing & honor to get this opportunity. #shocktheworld1

Pearsall is having the best season of his already solid college career. Through 11 games in 2023, he has caught 64 passes for 948 yards and 4 touchdowns. Additionally, he has three carries for 62 yards, including a 39-yard touchdown run last Saturday vs. Missouri.

For his college career, Pearsall has 158 receptions for 2,403 yards and 14 scores.

Pearsall, a native of Arizona, began college at Arizona State and played three seasons with the Sun Devils before transferring to Florida for his final two.

“Registered five 100-yard receiving game for Florida with seven catches for 103 yards at No. 18 LSU (Nov. 11)… Logged five receptions for 55 yards and a touchdown with two punt returns for 56 yards and a long of 40 yards against Arkansas (Nov. 4)… Caught six passes for a total of 99 yards vs. No. 1 Georgia (Oct. 28)… Totaled career-highs in receptions (10) and receiving yards (166) and caught the game-winning touchdown pass at South Carolina (Oct. 14)…

Caught four passes for 34 yards and scored a rushing touchdown vs. Vanderbilt (Oct. 7)… Finished with three catches for 62 with a 33-yard touchdown reception at Kentucky (Sept. 30)… Made seven catches for 99 yards with a long of 27 yards and had three punt returns for a total of 32 yards and a season-long of 21 vs. Charlotte (Sept. 23)…

(Ricky Pearsall) six catches for 43 yards against No. 11 Tennessee (Sept. 16)… Posted a game-high six receptions for 123 yards with a 50-yard touchdown in the win against McNeese (Sept. 9)… In the season opener at No. 14 Utah (Aug. 31) and corralled eight receptions, while finishing with a team-high 92 yards receiving and 14 targets.”

According to the Senior Bowl’s official website, “The Reese’s Senior Bowl is widely regarded as the preeminent college football all-star game and the first stage in the NFL Draft process. The longest continual-running all-star game has taken place in Mobile, Alabama the past 74 years. 

More than 900 NFL personnel, including key decision-makers from all 32 teams, and over 1100 media members from around the country were credentialed this year. This past April, the game produced 100 total picks for the third straight year, representing 40 percent of the entire NFL draft, including 40 selected on the first two days.”
