GAINESVILLE, Fla. — After three years at Florida, defensive tackle Gervon Dexter has declared for the 2023 NFL Draft.

Dexter has been a key contributor on the defensive front since his freshman year. The 6-7 tackle has shown position versatility. Dexter possesses a rare combination of size and athleticism and uses it to overwhelm offensive linemen in both run-defense and pass-rush opportunities.

Gervon Dexter on his decision

First and foremost, I would like to thank all the fans and all of Gator Nation for their support.

Additionally, I would like to thank both Coach Mullen and his staff for giving me the opportunity to compete here and Coach Napier for showing me exactly what leadership should look like.

I’m also thankful for Coach Patrick Toney and Coach Chaos for investing in my game.

With that being said, after speaking with my family, I think it is best to forego my last year of eligibility and declare for the 2023 NFL Draft.”
