Grayson 'Pup' Howard, transfer LB, commits to Florida Gators
GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The Florida Gators gained a commitment Thursday from former South Carolina linebacker Grayson “Pup” Howard. The 6-foot-4, 241-pounder out of Jacksonville was an early enrollee in Columbia, working with the Gamecocks during 2022 bowl prep and then joining the program in full for spring drills.
A four-star prospect out of high school, Howard was rated by the On3 Industry Ranking as the nation’s number 186 prospect overall in the country.
The Gators were in it late for Howard but lost out to the Gamecocks.
Grayson Pup Howard at South Carolina
As a true freshman this season, Howard played in 11 games for South Carolina and registered 19 tackles, a tackle for loss, and a forced fumble. Howard played a total of 221 snaps. The freshman did not miss a tackle during the entire season.
