4-star DB Devin Jackson commits to Florida
Another 2026 commitment is in for the Florida Gators, as Orlando (Fla.) First Academy 4-star safety Devin Jackson announced his decision on Wednesday evening.
Gators Online submitted an On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine pick for Florida last fall. That was after the in-state prospect attended nearly every home game; however, has has visited multiple times in 2024 as well, including just this afternoon and for last Saturday’s cookout.
All along, the plan was to make a decision before the upcoming season. Plenty of additional programs are in pursuit of Jackson, but Florida has been on top for nearly a year and sealed the deal this week.
“They show a lot of love when I come up there and I’m wanted up there,” Jackson told Gators Online. “I’m up there a lot of times, so I know the facilities too. It feels like home all around.
“I talk to (secondary coach) Will Harris, Billy Napier, and also the new (assistant) DBs coach (Beyah Rasool) the most. We talk pretty often. I don’t want to say every day, but every other day.”

Three blue-chip commitments are in for the Gators
With his decision made, Florida now holds commitments from three prospects in the 2026 class. Additional members are 4-star quarterback Will Griffin and 4-star cornerback Jaelen Waters.
As it stands today, the Gators have the No. 7-ranked recruiting class with On3.
Additional offers on the table for Jackson include Georgia, LSU, Ole Miss, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Iowa State, Nebraska, UCF and N.C. State.
