Top-100 recruit Isaiah Brown inks with Florida Gators on signing day
GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Four-star shooting guard Isaiah Brown, a top-100 recruit with On3, signed with the Gators on Wednesday, head coach Todd Golden announced. Brown is the lone signee in Florida’s 2024 recruiting class.
On3 is higher on Brown than any recruiting service, ranking him as the nation’s No. 95 overall prospect, No. 21 shooting guard and No. 13 player in Florida.
“We are thrilled to welcome Isaiah into our basketball program here at the University of Florida,” Golden said. “He’s an exceptional young man who possesses many of the qualities we look for when we recruit. First and foremost, he’s a winner that has been successful in every setting we’ve evaluated him in. He is a leader and has an infectious personality that unites his teams.
“As a player, he’s a relentless attacker of the rim in transition and has a knack for making winning plays on both ends. We are really happy to add him to our team.”
Brown becomes Golden’s second top-100 signee at UF, along with Riley Kugel. Both players are from Orlando, with Brown leading Orlando Christian Prep to a 25-4 record as a junior in 2022-23.

Brown’s addition continues a strong connection to the central region of the state for the Gators, whose roster includes Orlando’s Kugel and Denzel Aberdeen and Lake Wales’ Walter Clayton Jr.
The 6-foot-5, 170-pound Brown committed to the Gators on May 14.
“One was the coaching staff,” Brown told Gators Online when asked what led him to Gainesville. “All of them were very friendly, welcoming and very interested in my game. They really wanted me in their program. Two, is the fact they see me playing an important role my freshman year coming in and doing things on the floor and off the court. Being a leader.”
Brown is the No. 118 overall recruit nationally according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He averaged 18.6 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists per game last season.
“I have people tell me [Manu] Ginóbili, because I’m a lefty and I can get to the basket, but I want to say I’m like (Celtics standout) Jaylen Brown,” Brown said of his game. “I like his explosiveness around the rim and he hits open shots on the perimeter. And I feel like my ability to drive and attack the rim resembles his — and his ability to hit shots on the perimeter.”
