Jadan Baugh’s performance Saturday in a 48-20 Florida Gators win over Kentucky hasn’t gone unnoticed. On Monday, the first-year running back was named On3’s True Freshman of the Week.
Baugh had five rushing touchdowns in the game to match a Florida record held by Tim Tebow (2007 vs South Carolina) and Trey Burton (2010 vs Kentucky). Making his first career start, Baugh carried the ball 22 times for 106 yards. It marked a career-high for carries, yards, and, of course, touchdowns.

Wrote Charles Power, Director of Scouting and Rankings for On3, about Jadan Baugh
Any time a player ties a record held by college football legend Tim Tebow, you know it was a big performance. True freshman Jadan Baugh rushed for five touchdowns in Florida’s 48-20 win over Kentucky, tying the Florida single-game record held by Tebow and Trey Burton. The 6-foot-1, 215-pound back finished the game with 106 yards on 22 carries. Baugh picked up tough yards and provided a spark to Florida’s red zone offense. He showed good vision, reading his blocks and finished runs with physicality. On more than one occasion, Baugh fought through contact and drove the pile forward.
The Decatur (Ga.) Columbia product was a big senior riser in the 2024 cycle after moving to running back a few games into his senior season. Baugh finished as one of the most productive backs in the 2024 cycle, rushing for 1,583 yards and 19 touchdowns at a remarkable 14.0 yards per carry, en route to finishing as a four-star prospect for On3.
Saturday night in The Swamp, Baugh started in place of Montrell Johnson Jr., who was out last week with a leg injury. Baugh now has 259 rushing yards on 53 carries this season.
“Hats off to Montrell, because he brought me in and put his arms around me and told me like I’m a good player but I got to keep working,” Baugh said. “So him being the leader in that room just makes me better, and the rest of the guys around me better, too.”
