Six years ago, former Florida linebacker Jeremiah Moon made a fan’s day after a home game. This past weekend, that same fan made his.

During his redshirt freshman season in 2017, Moon met Jacob Long and gave him his cleats. They crossed paths in a unique way on Sunday.

Long is now a Marine and was in the flyover crew at the Baltimore Ravens game. Moon is in his second year with the team as an outside linebacker.

The two reunited after the game, with Moon sharing pictures from their past and latest interactions on social media and a video of Long’s flyover.

“I was able to meet him and his family and sign the same pair of cleats,” Moon wrote. “Crazy how life works!”

Moon signed with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent and spent his rookie year on the practice squad. This season, he was promoted to the active roster on September 23 and made his NFL debut in an overtime loss to the Indianapolis Colts, logging five tackles.

Moon played in four games in early 2023 as a member of the 53-man roster and had a forced fumble against Pittsburgh. After being reassigned to the practice squad in late October, he was once again elevated to the active roster on Dec. 19.
