In response to his strong performance against Georgia this past Saturday, Florida punter Jeremy Crawshaw has been named one of the Ray Guy Award’s “Ray’s 8” for Week 10.

During the 34-20 loss to the Dawgs, Crawshaw punted a season-high eight times for a total of 393 yards. Five of those punts were for 50-plus yards and four were placed inside the 20-yard line.

For Crawshaw, Monday’s honor marks the fourth time he landed on Ray’s 8 during the 2024 season. He is one of only three punters nationally to earn a spot on the list four times.

Ray’s 8 honors eight punters weekly who had the best punting performance over the weekend. A fan vote will determine the winner of the weekly award.

This season, Jeremy Crawshaw has punted a total of 34 times for 1,597 total yards. His average of 46.97 yards ranks 11th in FBS this season, while his 44.7-yard net is good for fourth among players with multiple punts. This is fifth season with the Florida Gators and fourth as the starting punter.

“One of our GA’s, who was here a little while ago, he kind of said to me other day, you just look so smooth and confident now compared to where you were a couple years ago,” Crawshaw said before the season. “So, coming in … I struggled a bit with rushes and trusting my protection and stuff like that, and that was just my own personal issues. It had nothing to do with protection at all.

“But as time has gone by, you’ve made these big leaps in technique and experience. And so now, I’m in my fifth year coming off of a decent season. I don’t have to make big leaps anymore. I’m just fine-tuning things. Very, very consistent with my spirals right now. And so, confidence is through the roof and I’m very excited for what this year holds. … I actually can’t wait. Like, I’m itching for this season to come because I’m just so confident in myself right now. I’m ready.”
