JUST IN: Ocala-based offensive lineman Tommy Kinsler commits to Florida
Ocala (Fla.) Trinity Catholic offensive lineman Tommy Kinsler has finally committed to the University of Florida, he told GO’s Donavon Keiser.
The SEC program has been trending heavily since Dan Mullen’s staff offered over a year ago. That interest in the program only increased when Billy Napier took over the program, and now, the three-star prospect is officially a part of the Gators’ 2023 class.
Billy Napier, Rob Sale and Darnell Stapleton all played a pivotal role in UF’s pursuit of the Sunshine State native. Kinsler becomes the sixth commitment in UF’s 2023 class, including the third offensive linemen.
Florida State, Miami and Rutgers were some additional finalists in Kinsler’s recruitment.
According to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Kinsler ranks as the No. 61 offensive tackle in the 2023 class. He is also the No. 896 player regardless of position.

“Even though I just met them for the first time and they just met me, they still treat me like they’ve known me for a long time. I like that. They all treat me like family over there,” Kinsler told GO earlier this year.
“It’s also close to home. The atmosphere, the coaches and the bond I have with the coaches (also stands out).”
In addition to the aforementioned schools, Kinsler possesses offers from Ole Miss, West Virginia, Missouri, Maryland, Mississippi State and Louisville among others.
