Keith Niebuhr, award-winning recruiting reporter, joins Gators Online

Keith Niebuhr

Veteran reporter Keith Niebuhr, who has more than two decades of experience covering the world of college football recruiting, has joined the staff at Gators Online.

He comes to GO from another On3 site — Auburn Live.

Niebuhr spent the past 10 years writing predominantly about Tigers recruiting for On3 and prior to that 247Sports. Previously, he worked at Rivals.com, the St. Petersburg Times, Foxsports.com, the Gainesville Sun and the Star-Banner. In college, he once was sports editor of the Independent Florida Alligator.

Although Niebuhr was born in Miami, he spent much of his childhood in Gainesville and graduated from the University of Florida.

“Covering Auburn was one of the coolest experiences of my life and that fan base treated me like family, but the opportunity to come home was something I couldn’t pass up,” Niebuhr said. “Most of my friends are Florida grads and they’re just as excited about this venture as I am. I’m eager to get out there and travel the state to share with you all the info I can get on the Gators’ top recruiting targets.”

The bulk of Niebuhr’s work will focus on Gators recruiting, but because he has a fairly vast knowledge of all things Florida he will assist with other projects when needed.
