GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Kodak Black, one of the top rappers in the country and a Florida Gators fan, is coming to Gainesville for a concert in the Stephen. C O’Connell Center.

Kodak Black will perform in the O’Dome on April 22 for Spring Fest, the arena announced this week in partnership with Gators Students and UF Business Services.

On-sale date and time to be announced in the near future, along with additional artists. Tickets will be available on Ticketmaster and at the University Box Office.

Kodak Black, 25, has released four studio albums, with three of them peaking in the top three on the US Billboard Hot 100, along with his mixtape Project Baby 2.

He grew up rooting for the Gators in Pompano Beach, Florida. He attended the Florida-Florida State game in 2018 wearing a No. 1 UF jersey with “Kodak” on the back.

Kodak Black at the Florida-FSU game in 2018

Kodak Black embraced former Florida coach Dan Mullen on the sideline, celebrated with the Gators defense after a turnover and posed for pictures with UF players on the field.

He then joined them in the locker room, where he sang the fight song, listed to his music with the team and told Mullen that he was trying to attend UF.

The Gators snapped a five-game losing streak to their in-state rival with a 41-14 win at Florida State, which failed to earn a bowl bid for the first time since 1982. UF begins spring practice March 4 under second-year coach Billy Napier and will hold the Orange & Blue Game April 13.
