Florida Gators football is the No. 1 topic in Good Morning Gators every day — but we cover news, notes and analysis from across the Gators sports world. Join us each morning to get caught up on everything in the world of Florida football, UF recruiting, Gators basketball, Florida baseball and more.
When Sean Kelley joined ESPN Radio in July 2019 as the lead play-by-play voice for college football, the first game he covered was the Week 0 matchup between Florida and Miami.
His first assignment at his new job this fall will also be a Florida football game. Kelley was announced Wednesday as the new Voice of the Gators, replacing the Mick Hubert.
Kelley has served in a similar role before. Prior to his time with ESPN, Kelley was the voice of the New Orleans Pelicans from 2005-19 (previously New Orleans Hornets) and the voice of the Tulane Green Wave from 2002-05.
In addition to Florida-Miami rivalry, Kelley also called UF’s road games at LSU in 2019 and 2021. Check out some soundbites of Kelley behind the mic.

If Kelley wasn’t exciting enough for your ears, he noted on Twitter that the audio above is from a national call. “Have to go straight down the middle. Wait til I get my hands on a Florida broadcast,” Kelly tweeted.
He also took to Twitter to thank Florida fans for embracing him.
“#GatorNation, I am overwhelmed by your gracious comments and warm welcomes. Thank you so much for receiving me the way that you have. I promise I will do right by you and our teams. Thank you friends, colleagues, and sports fans for the love you have made me feel today! Go Gators!”
