Live Blog: No. 5 Florida Gators beat Ole Miss 90-71

GAINESVILLE, FLORIDA — After beating No. 7 Alabama on the road earlier this week, the fifth-ranked Florida Gators capped an unbelievable regular season with a 90-71 win over Ole Miss at home Saturday on senior night.
Todd Golden’s team now is 27-4 overall, 14-4 in the SEC. The Rebels fall to 21-10, 10-8. The Gators lead the all-time series 71-49 with a 44-12 record in Gainesville. With this win Saturday, it’s possible Florida might have locked up at No. 1 seed in the upcoming NCAA Tournament.
Florida guard Walter Clayton paced UF with 23 points. Three other Gators were in double-figures — forward Alex Condon (17), guard Alijah Martin (13) and guard Will Richard (10). Condon added a game-high 15 boards.

This one is over. The Gators have used a dominant second half to take complete control. Florida guard Walter Clayton leads UF with 23 points. Three other Gators are in double-figures — forward Alex Condon (17), guard Alijah Martin (13) and guard Will Richard (10). Florida holds a 46-29 rebound edge and is shooing 51.8 percent from the floor.

Guard Walter Clayton and forward Alex Condon have 10 points each to pace the Gators. Condon also has 10 boards. Florida holds a 24-16 rebound edge. The Gators are 15 of 29 from the field and 7 of 19 from 3-point range. Ole Miss guard Sean Pedulla leads the Rebs with 10 points. But Ole Miss is only 12 of 39 from the floor.
