LSU beats Florida 52-35 behind historic offensive performance

To have any chance of beating No. 19 LSU on Saturday at Tiger Stadium, the Florida Gators had to slow down quarterback Jayden Daniels.
They didn’t come close.
Behind Daniels’ epic performance, LSU beat Florida for the fifth straight time. That’s the Tigers’ longest winning streak ever vs. the Gators in a series that spans 71 games.
Final score: LSU 52, Florida 35.
Daniels’ stats were otherworldly. And historic.
He finished 17-of-26 passing for 372 yards and three touchdowns — and added 234 rushing yards (including an 85-yard score) on only 12 carries.
Daniels became the first player in FBS history to pass for more than 350 yards and rush for 200 yards in a single game.
Meanwhile, LSU finished with a staggering 701 yards. That’s the most a Florida team ever has allowed.
Florida falls to 5-5 overall, 3-4 in the SEC. LSU is 7-3, 5-2.
The Gators will head to Missouri (8-2, 4-2) next weekend still needing a win to become bowl eligible. They’ve lost three straight games.
