The Florida Gators, still licking their wounds from a Week-1 loss, are back in action Saturday.

And back home at the Swamp.

Florida (0-1) plays host to McNeese (0-1) in the Gators’ home opener. Recent history would favor the Gators.

Florida hasn’t lost a home opener since 1989, when the Gators fell to Ole Miss. Florida has won 33 consecutive home openers, which leads the NCAA for the longest active streak in college football.

For Billy Napier’s Gators, momentum is needed heading into next week’s SEC showdown at home vs. Tennessee. Some good vibes, too.

Last week, Florida fell to No. 14 Utah 24-11 and didn’t play well.

Can the Gators get things moving in the right direction Saturday?
