FINAL: Florida Gators get first SEC win over Missouri, 24-17
The Florida Gators (4-2, 1-2 SEC) beat the Missouri Tigers (2-4, 0-3 SEC) in the Swamp on Saturday by a score of 24-17.
The Gators got revenge over the Tigers after last year’s overtime loss in Columbia. The all-time series is now tied at six a piece.
The win also gives UF head coach Billy Napier his first SEC win as coach of the Gators. The Gators will host LSU next Saturday at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.

Fourth quarter
Florida marches right down the field, and Richardson finds Ricky Pearsall in the end zone from 9 yards out to make it 24-10 with 11:10 remaining in the game.
Missouri answers with another long drive of its own, and Nathaniel Peat scores on an 18 yard touchdown rush. It’s 24-17 Florida with 5:58 left.
Richardson throws an interception with 2:57 remaining, and the Tigers will have a chance to tie or win the game. They’ll start at their own 32 yard line.
Florida gets a fourth down stop to take over on downs with 1:17 remaining on its own 48 yard line.
Third quarter
With the help of a 41 yard run from Montrell Johnson, the Gators are able to get into Missouri territory, but Mihalek misses the 47 yard field goal. It’s still 10-10 with 12:05 to play in the third.
On Florida’s second drive of the half, it was big plays on the ground from Johnson, Richardson and Trevor Etienne. Johnson caps off the drive with a 3 yard touchdown rush. Florida has claimed a 17-10 lead.
The Tigers put another long drive together, but Cook is intercepted by Hill for the second time today. There’s 1:02 remaining in the third, and the Gators will start at their own 9 yard line.
The score at the end of the third quarter is 17-10 Florida.

The Tigers stop the Gators, and Mihalek misses the 50 yard field goal attempt. Missouri will set up shop on its own 33 yard line with 9:31 left. It’s still 10-0 Gators.
Missouri cuts the Florida lead to three with a long drive capped off by a Cody Schrader 4 yard touchdown rush. Gators lead 10-7 with 3:55 remaining in the first half.
Anthony Richardson fumbles for the first time today, and the Tigers take over on the Florida 32 yard line with 2:57 left in the half.
Florida gets a red zone stop, but the Tigers are still able to capitalize with a 28 yard field goal from Harrison Mevis. It’s 10-10 with 20 second left in the half.

First quarter
