Memphis Grizzlies sign Zyon Pullin, waive Colin Castleton
Two former Florida players — Zyon Pullin and Colin Castleton — are on the move in Memphis. Pullin signed a two way contract on Friday, the Grizzlies announced. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed. In a related move, the Grizzlies waived Castleton.
Pullin (6-4, 206) has started all six of his regular season appearances for the NBA G League’s Sioux Falls Skyforce and has averaged 24.8 points, 7.5 rebounds, 7.7 assists and 1.3 steals in 38.3 minutes while shooting 53.5 percent from the field and 42.4 percent from 3-point range.
Zyon Pullin, who ranks fifth in the NBA G League in scoring and fourth in assists during the regular season, recorded a triple-double with 37 points (14-17 FG), 12 rebounds and 11 assists in a season-opening victory over the Valley Suns on December 30.
Pullin signed a two-way contract with the Miami Heat on July 1 after being unselected in the 2024 NBA Draft and was waived on July 24. The 23-year-old Pullin, who also joined the Heat for 2024 training camp, was named to the 2023-24 All-SEC First Team after averaging 15.5 points, 3.9 rebounds and 4.9 assists in 33.5 minutes as a graduate transfer at Florida last season.
Pullin set Florida’s single-season record with a 3.77 assist-to-turnover ratio, also the best mark by an SEC player in the 2000s.
