NBA Mock Draft: Alex Condon's projection ahead of March Madness

Alex Condon has been a standout player for the Florida Gators during the 2024-25 season, showcasing skills as a versatile forward/center. The 6-foot-11, 230-pound sophomore currently boasts averages of 11.4 points behind 51.7 percent shooting, 8.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.4 blocks.
The consistent play from the native of Perth, Australia has led to plenty of attention from NBA scouts and analysts. And with March Madness set to kick into gear, even more eyes will be on him.
In ESPN’s latest NBA Mock Draft, experts Jonathan Givony and Jeremy Woo project Alex Condon to be selected 26th overall by the Brooklyn Nets. That selection is highlighted below.
From Perth to the Pros: Alex Condon’s NBA Draft Journey
ESPN Scouting Report: “Condon is playing a significant role for No. 4 Florida, operating as an important playmaking hub on offense while being tasked with switching all over the court on defense. His combination of skill, feel for the game and intensity gives him the versatility to play both power forward and center, especially when he’s making shots from the perimeter as he has inconsistently (15-for-43 on 3-pointers, 35%). The longer Condon and Florida play in the NCAA tournament, the better he’ll be positioned in this draft class.” — Givony

NBA Intel and Fit: “Armed with four first-round picks, the Nets have great flexibility with how to approach this draft. Condon’s ability to play either frontcourt spot could be attractive, especially if the Nets believe he can stretch the court consistently long term.” — Givony
Condon, an All-SEC third-team selection, recorded six double-doubles in SEC play, including three in top-25 victories. He recorded 12 points with 12 rebounds in Florida’s win over No. 1 Tennessee, 17 points and 10 rebounds against No. 1 Auburn, and logged a career-high 27 points along with 10 rebounds against No. 7 Alabama. In the Gators’ regular season finale against Ole Miss, Condon turned in 17 points and 15 rebounds in just 23 minutes of play.
Earlier this week, Condon made history by becoming only the second Florida player to earn SEC Player of the Week three times in a single season. He hopes that stellar player eventually carries over to the NBA and will have the opportunity to climb draft boards even more this month.
