The top-ranked linebacker with On3 Sports says he has scheduled a visit to the University of Florida.

Troy Bowles, a four-star prospect from Tampa (Fla.) Jesuit, says he will be spending his Tuesday with Billy Napier’s staff. Tomorrow also marks the first day of spring practices in Gainesville.

The 2023 defender has not been in Gainesville for quite sometime, so tomorrow will be his first time meeting the new staff. He is the son of Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive coordinator, Todd Bowles.

In addition to being the top-ranked linebacker, the 6-foot-1, 206-pound Bowles is the 63rd-ranked prospect in the 2023 On300 rankings.

The On3 Consensus – a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies – has Bowles as the No. 49 prospect and No. 2 linebacker.

Bowles is fresh off visits with SEC and Big 12 schools

Bowles is certainly making full use of the offseason, as he recently tripped to Alabama and Oklahoma as well; however, Ohio State is the school trending according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, having a 67.7 percent chance at reeling in the top-100 prospect.

The Buckeyes hosted Bowles three times in 2021, while Georgia, Florida State, Rutgers and Virginia Tech previously rolled out the red carpet as well.

During the 2021 season, Bowles accumulated 103 tackles (71 solo), three sacks, two forced fumbles and an interception. The Tigers finished the season with a perfect 15-0 record.

“Bowles has instincts and awareness in spades and the feel for making plays on the ball,” said On3’s Gerry Hamilton. His versatility in the run game and coverage sets him apart from many peers at the position.”

Equipped with 9,000-plus social media followers, Bowles checks in with an On3 NIL Valuation of $25,000.

The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date; it rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Additional prospects expected in Gainesville on Tuesday include Michigan linebacker commit Raylen Wilson, four-star linebacker Jaden Robinson and four-star wide receiver Bryson Rodgers.
