On300 cornerback Dijon Johnson will choose from four schools on Thursday
When On300 cornerback Dijon Johnson goes to make his commitment on Thursday, four schools will be under strong consideration: Florida, Ohio State, USC and Miami.
An All-American cornerback from Tampa (Fla.) Wharton, Johnson will be revealing his decision on the YouTube channel of production company, DuWell TV. Fans all across the map will know where Johnson is headed at 7:00 p.m. EST.
According to On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine, the Gators are leading the way with odds of 78.8 percent. Myself, along with three others, have submitted predictions in favor of the orange and blue.
Although he is a former Ohio State commit, Johnson has not visited the Buckeyes, Hurricanes or Trojans since reopening his recruitment in late July. That announcement came just days after he spent multiple days on campus for Friday Night Lights and the Grill at the Ville cookout.
The 6-foot-1, 187-pound Johnson also attended UF’s matchups against Utah and Kentucky and is returning to campus for Saturday’s LSU game. An official visit, however, is not expected to take place until December.
“Gainesville, the place is electric,” Johnson previously told Gators Online. “You got 90,000-plus fans and it’s a great academic school. Plus, it’s only two hours away from me. That’s a good factor for me. When you put all those things together, it’s like, dang, what other place could you be?

“Coach Raymond, he’s a GOAT,” Johnson added. “Being somebody that played the position and one of the best at what they do, that’s key.”
Johnson is well regarded in the NIL space
Johnson ranks as the No. 10 cornerback and No. 98 prospect regardless of position. That is according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Through six games as a senior, Johnson has accumulated 10 tackles (six solo), four pass deflections and one interception for 5-1 Wharton.
The Sunshine State native also boasts an On3 NIL Valuation of $130k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
