On Monday afternoon, On3’s No. 1 kicker Evan Noel announced a major change in his recruitment, as the Bay St. Louis (Miss.) St. Stanislaus standout flipped his commitment from Arkansas to Florida.

For the Gators, this is commitment No. 12 for the 2025 cycle.

This morning, Gators Online hinted at the buzz surrounding Noel and the Gators. This is a prospect we have written about since the summertime.

Noel had been committed to the Razorbacks since last October, but the Gators really turned up the heat in recent months and made a strong impression when Noel visited for the UCF game. The Gators had been considered the Razorbacks’ top competition for months.

All in all, this is a prospect the Gators really wanted in the class, with one source calling Noel a “big weapon.” They wasted no time sending out an official scholarship offer over the summer.

Back in September, Noel has set a new Mississippi high school football record after making a 61-yard field goal in a 47-10 loss. The video below shows that kick along with the outstanding leg power that makes him On3’s top-ranked prospect at his position.

Kohl’s Kicking, which is regarded as the top scouting outlet for specialists, provided an in-depth scouting report of Noel over the summer. They rank him as a 5-star prospect.
