Projecting the 2022 Florida Gators football depth chart: Offense
The Florida Gators are less than one week from opening the 2022 football season. The Gators will do so with reigning Pac 12 Champion, the No. 7 Utah Utes.
With the season round the corner, Gators Online has assembled a depth chart for the 2022 season. We have used what we have seen from open portions of practice in the spring and fall, as well as inside information from the two scrimmages this fall. We have also taken into account injuries.
Additionally, the depth chart is not set in stone. There are players who may not earn a start, but play a ton on Saturdays. Napier said as much himself last week.
“You know a few off the top of my head would be Tyreak Sapp, Austin Barber. You know those are two in particular that stand out to me that are starters in my mind,” Napier said. “They may or may not be a starter on game day, but they’re going to play. There are other players that I think fit into that.

“Some of the rookies that fit in that category. Shemar James is an exceptional player. There’s a number of young players that I think their role will grow as we will continue to see. But we’ve developed some of the players on our team that have minimal experience, and I think they’re ready for the show now.”
Just how ready for the Utes will Florida be by 7:00 pm this Saturday remains to be seen. Nonetheless, this will be the group they bring into the matchup against a top-10 foe.
