The Florida Gators men’s basketball team is adding to its 2021-22 season non-conference schedule with a neutral site game against the Ohio Bobcats on Dec. 14 at Amalie Arena in Tampa.

The news was first reported by CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein.

Florida and Ohio have faced off three times before, dating back to 1927. Most recently, the Gators took down the Bobcats 67-62 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in 2005. UF holds a 2-1 all-time record over Ohio.

The Bobcats finished the 2021-22 season with a 25-10 overall record and a second round exit in the College Basketball Invitational.

A time has yet to be announced as the schools have yet to officially announced the matchup.
