A total of seven players from the Florida football team will be competing in college all-star games in early 2023.
The latest Gator to accept his invitation was linebacker Amari Burney, who is playing in The NFLPA Collegiate Bowl. The game will take place on Jan 28. at Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California.
“Amari Burney is one of my favorite players here on the team,” UF coach Billy Napier said during the season. “This is his sixth year here. I call him old man all the time. We’re thankful for Amari. Amari, he’s got character, he’s a good communicator, he makes other players around him better, he’s a guy who really has risen to the occasion at that position and what we need at that position.”
In addition to Burney, a half dozen Gators will be competing in the Reese’s Senior Bowl and East-West Shrine Bowl.
Florida linebacker Ventrell Miller and offensive linemen Richard Gouraige and O’Cyrus Torrence are headed to Mobile, Alabama. Last year the Reese’s Senior Bowl had more than 900 NFL personnel and all 32 teams credentialed for the game, which takes place on Feb. 4 at 2:30 p.m. ET on NFL Network.
