Several Gators make final ESPN300
The Final ESPN300 was revealed Wednesday and several Florida signees in the 2025 class made the list — starting with receiver Vernell Brown III. He’s the highest ranked of the Gators at No. 41. Below is a list of the Florida signees in the ESPN300. NOTE: The ESPN rankings will be input into the database soon by On3, and they will be factored into each player’s On3 Industry Ranking.
The final ESPN300 features multiple Florida Gators signees
No. 41: Vernell Brown III, WR, Orlando (Fla.) Jones: Had 90-plus catches for more than 1,400 yards while helping lead his team to the state finals. Brown played in the Under Armour All-America Game. He moved up three spots from ESPN.
No. 43: Dallas Wilson, WR, Tampa Bay Tech (Fla.): Caught 41 passes for 677 yards and 9 touchdowns. Wilson was picked for the Under Armour All-America Game but was a no show that week do to personal matters. He fell four sports from ESPN’s previous update.
No. 52: Ty Jackson, LB, Loxahatchee (Fla.) Seminole Ridge: Under Armour All-American. Missed most of his senior season with a hamstring injury, but is considered one of the top linebackers in the country. Rose two spots.
No. 65: Jalen Wiggins, DE/Edge, Tallahassee (Fla.) Rickards: Under Armour All-American. Recorded 188 tackles (125 solo), 39 tackles for loss, 31 sacks, 17 QB hurries, 10 pass deflections and 3 fumble recoveries in high school. Rose three spots.
No. 83: Hylton Stubbs, S, Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin: Navy All-American. Had 286 tackles (198 solo), 12 interceptions, 11 pass break-ups, 3.5 sacks and 22.5 tackles for loss in high school. Rose eight places.
No. 99: Lagonza Hayward, S, Lyons (Ga.) Toombs Couny: Recorded 32 tackles, 8 pass breakups, 2.0 tackles-for-loss and an interception his senior season while leading his team to a state title. Climbed 14 spots.
No. 111: Byron Louis, RB, Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage: State champion and Under Armour All-American who averaged more than 7 yards per carry in high school. Recorded 3,162 rushing yards and 44 touchdowns during his prep career. Rose 85 spots.

No. 113: Naeshaun Montgomery, WR, Miami (Fla.) Central): Under Armour All-American. Averaged more than 20 yards per catch as a senior. Moved up three spots.
No. 123: Ben Hanks III, CB, Miami (Fla.) Booker T. Washington: Navy All-American. Set Miami-Dade County record with 13 interceptions in 2024. Fell one spot.
No. 168: Tavaris Dice, OL, Fairburn (Ga.) Langston Hughes: Late flip from Auburn. Moved down one spot.
No. 232: Waltez Clark, RB, Tampa (Fla.): Started on both sides of the ball. Had more than 3,000 combined yards (rushing and receiving) in high school career. Moved down eight spots from previous ESPN update.
No. 235: Joseph Mbatchou, DL, Grayson (Ga.): Has played only one year of varsity football. Chose Florida over Texas and others. Rose 20 spots.
No. 260: Jayden Woods, Edge, Shawnee (Ks.) Mill Valley. Recorded 212 tackles (101 solo), 25.5 tackles for loss, 18.5 sacks, 29 QB hurries, 12 pass break-ups, 7 forced fumbles and an interception during his prep career. Down eight spots.
